Speech, Language, Communication and Autism Services
I am a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist and Autism Consultant. I have been practicing since 2016, I am a registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) as well as a member of the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC)
I am also a mum to my beautiful boy Milo, who has furthered my passion of early language and the key concepts that I follow to support language and communication development.
There are many values that I base my practice around. The most important one to me is that every person has the right to communication. I make it my priority to facilitate that for those who can't or struggle with this. I believe in a client centred approach, I have my evidence based theories and practice, but I am flexible in that I can adapt those to the client, making the work I do with clients work for them. I am an approachable person who genuinely cares for all my clients and wants the best for them.
I am first and foremost a Speciliast Speech and Language Therpist with interests in working with children with autism, special needs. However, I really enjoy working with clients with speech/language delays/disorders.
Alongside my private practice I am a Neurodevelopmental Practitioner, meaning that I assess children and young people for autism.
I carry out a mixture of formal and informal assessments, depending on your child's age and needs. All assessments are detailed and thorough. I assess in a flexible way, in order to capture your child's true strengths and difficulties.
Therapy can look different for each child, it is tailormade to meet your child's needs. Flexibility and creativity are always brought into sessions, to get the most out of the child and our time. The timeframe of therapy can also vary depending on need, financial circumstances and availability.
Reports can be written after assessments, therapy and I can also contribute to Educational Health and Care Plans. Varying levels of reports are offered, from verbal reporting, brief reports to detailed reports. All information is provided in an accessible way.
Having schools on board with Speech, Language and Communication targets is imperative. I am able to offer packages to support staff to carry out specific targets with clients, train staff and offer feedback to better their practice to support Independent Communication.
Life is busy and often I send electronic versions of my resources so families and schools can consolidate work outside of sessions. However, I offer a service to make these resources for you, to take the pressure off of you!
Furthering knowledge of others is a passion of mine. Upskilling people is a key part of my role. I offer training in a variety of areas; autism, Lego Therapy, Colourful Semantics, Using Visuals, General Speech and Language Strategies and Early Language Building. Bespoke training courses can be devised based on need after a discussion with Alice.
Are you a school that caters for children with autism and associated needs? I now offer a service in which I carry out an assessment of environment, staff and other variables. From which I develop a personalised plan for your school in order to improve support, learning and communication of those with autism.
Are you a family with a neurodivergent child/children? Are you struggling with behaviour or communication in your daily lives? I now offer a service to families whereby I assess your environment, strategies used and what is not currently working. From here, I can devise a personalised plan with support and resources to help reduced challenges in the home by improving communication.
Do you work with/employ people with autism? Or does your business cater for the general public? My autism consultancy for business includes an assessment or environment and communication used at your place of work. From this point, a detailed plan is created to help you support your employees and/or any of the general public that you may cater for that may have autism. Inclusitivity is imperative and there is more than everyone can do to ensure that people with autism have access.

In person training to help develop understanding and knowledge of various elements related to speech, language, communication and autism.
Lego Therapy is an evidence based approach to help develop social communication skills with autistic children. This approach is also a good tool to use with neurotypical children to help work on turn taking, understanding and using language. It is a fun way to learn and engage children of all ages. This training includes practical elements to get to grips with the resources.
Colourful Semantics is an approach that aims to develop language by focusing on semantics. It helps build and develop sentence structure and grammar. A great visual tool for all ages. This training explains the theory of this approach as well as practical activities and how to implement into daily life.
If you have a niche business/area of interest or specific client group that you work with, I can devise a training package tailored to your needs.

"We were recommended Alice through a friend and I can honestly say it’s one of the best decisions we have made to support our son with his speech and language.
Alice showed that she has a deep knowledge of what she does and also knew how to encourage and engage our son when he needed that little extra support.
Our son has now come on leaps and bounds and through Alice’s creativeness with activities and patience he was learning whilst having fun and being his cheeky self.
We will absolutely book another block of sessions with Alice as we have seen how much our son’s speech and language has improved over a short space of time"
"Alice has been worked with our 5 year old daughter for approximately 10 months. We have been so impressed with Alice’s set of skills and how she was able to develop a relationship with our daughter so quickly! She is professional, approachable, empathetic and just lovely! We are so pleased that we found Alice to help us on our little girls journey in order to reach her full potential."
